Arp 29 (NGC 6946)
27 and 28 July, 5 and 8 August 2011
Top
Arp 29 is an irregular spiral galaxy. It is about 10x12 arc min, Mag 9.

Arp 29 is relatively near, at about 22 million Ly but lies near  the plane of our galaxy so it is partially obscured by intervening dust.
Also, from my site this target lies to the north directly over San Jose, CA. Fortunately San Jose is light-pollution friendly making this target
possible from my location.
